the straps are good value, especially for a dragoon, depends what you want to be honest, i use a raptor+1 for /whm and random stuff for my /sam, depends what i'm up to. SH is your best bet unless you can get an assault jerkin (rare/ex NM drop, labyrinth of onzozo called Ose, he's a mean kitty but me and trav duo'd him as 75, both had to two hour), or at 72 a barone corazza, but pricey at 500k.
Legs i have been using and still am the barone legs, nice litle jump bonus on there, weapon? thallassocrat, its all i need, Gii thinks he can make them so may be worth the risk. feet i am waiting to get the cash for barone feet but until then AF, AF helm on me head unless i happy that khocha's not being too random then i got a wyvern help lvl 75, its quite nice.
rings etc: ew well this is where i look rubbish, woodsmans ring, venerers ring (i wanna replace with raja's ring and a ring thats a drop from an NM in the past), spike earrings x 2, they are probably the best value for the moment.
Its that age old problem with drg....... everything really good is rare/ex quested or dropped from endgame. Ho hum. on to AF two lol.

Thanks so much for posting that, I found really usefull !! :D I deffinetly want to level up my sam now :) I wasnt really sure what it was used for but i can see now its better than war :D which is good because i dont wanna level war anymore :p
I guess what i need for my drg gear is a scorp harness, and i think the rest of my af will do for the rest of my body. Was then going to get two spike earrings and + dex rings, a potent belt and something to wear on my back and neck. Also want a strap for my weapon. Ive got a dark merzaq at the mo. ^^'
hehe hopefully that should do for a bit! XD but I also need to save for blessed boots, trousers and mits for my whm ^^;

Sam's the best subjob post 60, and recommend it totally, the meditate function means you can get TP like a demon, more TP means? more penta thrusts, absolutely, although if your tanks are substandard use wheeling thrust or skewer instead, it causes a little less dmg and keeps the hate a little more stable...... i've found this more to be true when you have a ninja tank.
Also Samurai gives you zashin (??) which gives you a chance of an extra hit if you miss, plus the store TP bonus, its all about TP and how often you can weapon skill. Dragoons are DD's afterall and should not be needing to ever tank after level 20. If a party post 60 asks you to tank, RUN! (its almost as stupid as having a white mage tank - poor myu).
On top of the job abilities and traits there is a whole load of Store TP gear which you can get which is all good stuff..... if anyone wants a list of gear let me know and i'll post what i used post lvl 60 drg all the way to current standards. But i warn you, my list will be also acknowledging that i am a taru and therefore if it has +HP on it, you can guarentee i'm using it HAHA. (MP's kinda cool but HP is vital for me, i'm very squishy).
Mines currently at 60 and i have all my af :) I want to start working on it again soon when i can afford a scorpion harness and other gear ^^. Also want to level Samurai to 37 for a sub :)

OHHHH you need AF, the head piece is absolutely wicked, for soloing it helps that you can get a HB3 for 50% of your hit points and not 1/3rd as previous :)
Its a worthwhile cause, and ya getting there, 59's not THAT far away hehe....... ya gonna love imps at 67, no really, they use amnesia and you can't use any job ability or weapon skill, renders you able to head off and make a coffee because you and any samurai's in the party are probably not going to be a lot of help hehehehee. its all good fun.
Have you leveled your samurai yet? 60+ sam's the bee's knees :O)

Hey guys well as the resident uber dragoon that is dizzitaru i thought i should start this one off so Hello! I'll post hints and tips and stuff if anyone ever needs them, just let me know :) it would be a pleasure, plus i'll try and sort out some details on the old AF quests as some of you will be coming to that, and am sure myu will correct me if i go wrong :)
