I'm not doing any promy runs without a full parties worth of animas :P
I've done two runs, and we lost both. Both times 3 people who claimed they had anima sets didn't (and didn't admit it until we were right outside the boss fight) and both times everything was going wonderfully until we ran out of animas and got our asses handed to us by special ability spamage :P We almost won both. Almost does not cut it though ; ;
I have a full set of Animas sitting on a mule already for me to use, and I'm happy to help people farm them. I do Tactics Pearl runs in Holla most weeks anyway and always go /thf for extra drops. A good 1 hour farming session can see 10+ Recollections drop so it should not take to long to get everyone what they need. I know Baldie has also offered to help with farming, so between us we should be able to get everyone three sets in no time. ^^
If we can farm in advance we'll save a lot of time on the actual promy nights. I'll get myself another 2 sets of animas and leave them on mules too, in preparation for much Promy madness! There really is no good reason not to have them.
I know I can tank a Promy boss with PLD without too much difficulty, and I'm always happy to bring a ton of potions with me for added longevity ^^ Let it get knackered eating me, while you lot hack bits off :D
Also, me and Trav can make Holy water notably cheaper than they go for on the AH (I know, because I'm selling some right now). Happy to make some at cost, and Myu makes yag drinks all the time and I'm sure if you ask nicely and offer her cookies she'll let some go at cost for the runs ;)
I wasn't tired I just figured people would be smartenough to find out the rest of the information on a website. Of course Anima is the most important thing but I also figured we would all farm it together before heading out for the actual run. That and I don't like to take the time to make links to pages. I was just giving people a heads up on the things they should bring of their own accord.
Thanos, I'm going to assume you were just tired...or something when you typed this up. Either way, if they are reading your post...then they have internet access to read websites...just thought I would point that out.
For anyone who is not familiar with Promyvion Missions: 1) They are Level 30 cap. 2) You must complete a series of cutscenes in and around Jeuno to gain access. Here is a quick link to one of the sites that Thanos Mentioned below: COP 3) Thanos is correct that the bosses steal your food, so if your not familiar with this...basically the creature steals your food and gains its power. 4) One item that Thanos forgot to mention (actually 3 of them) are also the MOST important: Anima.
There are 3 different Anima that can be used during these fights. Each can be found on the AH under Materials>Alchemy or can easily be quested (I'll explain later). They are: Psychoanima - Prevents any attacks from the enemy for 30 seconds Hysteroanima - Prevents the enemy from using special attacks for 20 seconds Terroanima - Causes the enemy to run in fear of the person with the most hate, for 30 seconds
Both Psycho and Hystero are extremely handy in that they prevent the enemy from doing...basically anything. Terro, however, can actually be bad. Think if all you have is Melee jobs and it runs away....you have to chase it down. This should only be used in emergencies where a few seconds is needed from the enemies attacks.
All three can easily be obtained via a quest in Jeuno with a bit of farming involved. Each Anima is based off a Recollection that is dropped inside the Promys. Defeat a few easy prey enemies on the first floor (at lvl 30 only 1 creature on the first floor is a DC, everything else is easy prey). Eventually you will obtain a "Recollection of...". Take the recollection to Harith at (H-5) in Ru'Lude Gardens. Trade him the Recollection and 2k and he will give you a Anima based off the type of recollection you gave him. The last thing to remember is that the Anima are rare/ex which means you can only be holding 1 of each on you, at a time. You may go to the delivery guy and send them to your self, or put them on the Auction house, but may only do it with one in your inventory at a time.
Anyways, so there it is. One final note is that once you finish the third boss (you can fight in any order) you are warped to Lufaise Meadow come prepared for it on the third fight...but that is a conversation for another time. Hope the info helps.

Before heading out to promy's there are a few items each of us are going to need, depending on which crag we enter. The items are only for the boss fights though. Items to bring Holy Water Poison Potion Reraise Earring Yaguado Drink (If you are mage job)
I wouldn't worry about foods, I am pretty sure all three of the bosses absorb food enhancments and some buffs.
Also, if you have internet access look up Chains of Promathia missions 1 and up to get a head start on the cutscenes before the actually quest parts of the 1st missions. I recommend ffxiclopedia.com
