Pulling: Unless you like getting hate, pull using cheap a**ed bullets :O) make sure you have /nin, shadows rule. (can't believe i said that).
Party invites: If you don't want a party /anon, its annoying as hell, plus be careful, some parties assume you are the puller, check who's in the party - if there are rangers and thf's then sub what you like or what ldr says, if there's none of the above, /nin, you are puller (unless you party with dakuan and he likes pulling so will do so, albeit he may die but he enjoys it ^^)
Rolls: lessons learnt: don't buy all of them, i only use a couple at best of times, many are not needed til higher up or endgame, you can save mucho Gil's. whm, Thf, Rng, Smn, Drk, and at a push war's roll are vital and you will be asked for them. Don't give people corsairs roll, its pointless at higher levels. Blu, bard, drg, pld and pup rolls biggest waste of my money ever. Never used them apart from in beseiged when i had a puppetmaster. After 60 you will want to have the dnc roll tho, thats regen. I heavily suggest for high levels also the stupidly expensive 108k gil wizards (blm) roll.
Equipment: Get your AF, its the best gear for cor for ages!!!!! That's all i am saying. When i bought the stuff for mine it cost 138k gil, when you see what a scorp etc sell for its kinda worth it, the hat fights a pest, i'll post my rather ridiculous solution to that fight in a separate thread!
Right thats the corsair update, i'm off to ma cabin and sleep off this cold ready for a day of plunder and pillage (or stupid long meeting) tomorrow.
just thought i would say something about my experiences as a corsair thus far, well i['m a level 36, some mega good parties, as per usual absolute rubbish through the dunes / tunnel.
anyhow had a massively good pty the other day, pulling like a demon, hint tho, as with drg and me not leveling sam, lvl ninja, shadows are a life saver, especially as my /whm does not give me stoneskin (yet). Arrrrrr *swigs some ale*.
anyhow other advice: find a good farming spot and live in it. I've worked out whereas drg was a labour of love and amnesia, corsair is a labour of utter tedium on the gil and farming. I need to get crafting LOL.
Anyhow other advice would be gratefully accepted.
