Almuric - A name that I frequently use for Avatars/Characters. The name itself comes from the tile of a Novel, first serialised in the pulp fiction magazine 'Weird Tales' in 1939. The author, Robert E howard, has now become most famous for his Conan series of books and short stories.
His serialisations in 'Weird Tales' helped at the time to bring 'Sword and Sorcery' stories to a mainstream audience and got critical acclaim from peers including H P Lovecraft (The Cthulu Mythos).
Almuric from the Novel was actually the name of a planet that featured in this Sci-Fi/Sword and Sorcery tale. The name has also been reused and referred to many times in the Conan series, Conan in hs early career served ,and was one of the few survivors of the Army of Prince Almuric.
There is some debate on whether Howard actually wrote this piece, it was published three years after his suicide, and some claim it was actually written by his publicist.
Oh Yeah, the Almuric Novel also features a bunch of black winged bird like Baddies called the Yaga's. (Did Square Enix borrow from this?)

OK dizzitaru comes from me being a taru, duh yeah i know, and because i'm a little dizzi, well not a little, very, ditzy would be closer sometimes, and because i seem to spend my life going round in circles. so yay Dizzitaru.
Muppsie is because before Uni my old friends at the hockey club called me Muppet, some called me missy when i was in trouble for being rude etc, uni people changed it to merge the two and be called muppsie.
I'm not explaining Dizzibluebottle, her origins are not pure and virtuous, and Dizzitaru blames Bluebottle 100%!"!!!
<< Many already know this, but "Cymru" is the Welsh word for Wales. I am English, not Welsh. This causes just enough confusion to remain interesting.
Many of my online aliases are Japanese, and I was advised by a good friend to keep it western to avoid confusion about my language preferences. It was picked as a name of convienience more than anything. My grandparents, who live in Wales, had just visited and brought me a number of souviniers. In retrospect I prob'ly could've picked a much more 'me' name, but this was my absolute first shot at a MMORPG, and I wasn't sure how serious the whole naming scheme thing ran. And now it's sorta stuck. XD
Chibisignal, the name I picked for my mule, is from the Twin Signal manga series by Sachi Oshimizu. Everytime his 'brother' Nobuhiko sneezes, the main character, Signal, would turn into his alternate toddler form. Chibi has a deep addiction to chocolate, which works on him like alcohol. He is a violently playful drunk, and tends to leave really bad hangovers to his 'big' form when he transforms back.

"Gii" didn't really come from anywhere. I wanted a single syllable name, and didn't want to use my normal net alias/game character name (Gruzz) or any variation thereof beyond the first letter, and settled on the clipped form "Gi". This was rejected by FF for being too short, so I switched the longer formed "Gii".
The name is pronounced as if Japanese (I get a LOT of tells from Japanese in Kanji, which I can't read at all, so they must like it :P). The G is hard as in "green", not squishy as in "gin", and the "ii" is soft ended rather than clipped short (just like any extended vowel in Japanese). The "ii" sounds just like saying the letter "e" in English, i.e. the name rhymes with "Key".
Best typo I've seen to date: Goo The most common miss-read of my name: Gil (Once even resulting in one person saying "Wow! Your name is like money!")
A friend of mine told me about his LS forum site and mentioned a thread for people to talk about where their game name came from. Thought it might be fun.
Isynual (Pronounced E-sin-u-al xD) is actually the name of a character from a story I started writing a few years back. In the book he is christened after a star, named Isyn. Roughly translated it was supposed to mean "Child of Isyn." Anyway... the story kind of hit a dead end, but I kept the name for my in-game self. ^^
